Interesting or nice about this vacancy
- Rewarding volunteer work for both people and animals;
- Guidance by the local Dierenbuddy coordinator;
- Opportunity to participate in a course, workshop, or informative meetings about both humans and animals via the DB Academy;
- Team of fun and motivated colleagues Dierenbuddy.
Tasks and duties
- Taking a long walk with the dog;
- Cleaning the litter box/birdcage;
- Giving medication to a pet (not necessary)
- Take a pet to the veterinarian if necessary;
- Giving appropriate attention to the owner of the animal.
Skills and qualities
In addition to subscribing to the objectives of the Dierenbescherming, you have or are:
- Affinity with pets and their well-being;
- Experience in dealing with the elderly and/or chronically ill;
- A stable and reliable personality.
- Willing to offer a helping hand and play a reporting role for the pet and the elderly/chronically ill;
- Socially and communicatively skilled;
- Available for at least one half-day per week.
