Tasks and duties

In this role, you ensure that assistance and medical care are provided by highly deployable and qualified volunteers at events and in response to requests for help during crisis situations. You are the point of contact for the Event Assistance Location Coordinators, provide direction and guidance regarding the execution of activities, and ensure good mutual cooperation. Together with the other Assistance Coordinators in the province of Groningen, you form a community.

Skills and qualities

Our ideal Emergency Response Coordinator:

• Can lead, inspire, and motivate a group of volunteers.
• Is a whiz at organizing and has a heart for helping others.
• Can adapt and gets energy from working in a highly innovative organization.
• Has good communication, social, and networking skills.
• Holds a First Aid certificate or is willing to obtain one.
• Preferably lives in the working area.
• Endorses the fundamental principles and strategic objectives of the Red Cross.
