Interesting or nice about this vacancy
Sailing provides an ultimate sense of freedom. A feeling that many people with a disability do not know. Thanks to SailWise and its volunteers, everyone can enjoy a fantastic experience on the water.
Tasks and duties
SailWise is looking for volunteers who can take a splash to make holidays possible for people with disabilities; we need enthusiastic volunteers for all individual trips (and the group bookings for Robinson Crusoe).
We offer:
- An unforgettable experience.
- Free full board stay at the accommodation.
- Guidance by experienced volunteers and professional staff.
- Cooperation with statements for school/education (regarding study credits/internship), or for the benefits agency (regarding volunteer work while retaining benefits).
Skills and qualities
Being a volunteer means providing assistance with daily care, accompanying people, performing household tasks, and supporting water sports activities.
In addition to these volunteers, we are specifically looking for volunteers with a nursing background and volunteers with sailing experience. Experience in guiding people with disabilities is not necessary. Before you start as a volunteer, you will follow an introductory program.
