Become a volunteer at the Toy Library and contribute to the development of children in a playful way.

Interesting or nice about this vacancy

As a volunteer at the Toy Library, you make a valuable contribution to the development of children of all ages. The Toy Library is accessible to everyone: the membership fee is low and even (almost) free for certain target groups. Finally, as a volunteer, you contribute to the sustainable use of toys: parents do not have to constantly buy something new, and toys have a longer lifespan.

At the Speel-O-Theek, all children aged 0 to 18 living in the municipality of Groningen can borrow toys. Grandparents, childminders, and caregivers can also become members. The Speel-O-Theek has all kinds of indoor and outdoor toys, games, and puzzles. Game consoles with accompanying games are also available for loan. A birthday bag or game bag can be borrowed for a party. Children can choose different toys every four weeks.

Working a shift together at the Toy Library is always fun and very rewarding. Volunteers receive a discount on the Toy Library membership. You can also sell your second-hand children's clothing for free at one of the largest children's clothing fairs in the Northern Netherlands.
