About Stichting De Blije Bodem
Stichting De Blije Bodem is a regenerative self-harvest garden in Groningen. A 4,500m² food garden for local residents featuring unsprayed fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We believe that local and as healthy as possible food should be available to everyone. Our gardener grows all the vegetables, and our participants then harvest what they need themselves. We work with a solidarity payment system; anyone can harvest fresh vegetables regardless of their budget. We aim to provide healthy food to up to 200 people. We pay close attention to supporting and maximizing biodiversity; we are turning a depleted piece of land into a green oasis in the city. The garden is fully open to the public, so everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this beautiful place. Education is an important part; We love sharing knowledge and hope to inspire new generations, from vegetable cultivation to restoring complete ecosystems and reconnecting with yourself, nature, and others.

We grow pesticide-free vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The self-harvest garden is in its first season and we are busy setting it up. In addition to cultivation activities (growing, planting, care there are various building possibilities (vegetable beds, community building, small bridges).
