Tasks and duties

As a PR and communications officer, these are your tasks:

• Maintaining our social media (Facebook and Instagram).
• Submit text for our website (placement on the website is optional, not required).
• Submit text for our column in the neighborhood newspaper De Lewenborger.
• Provide text for our internal newsletter, and process and send it in Mailchimp.
• Taking photos of activities and special events.
• Create flyers for activities.
• Contribute to the annual report.
• Occasionally draft a press release or write a newspaper article.
• Keeping our database of volunteers and network partners up to date in Excel.
• Further shape and maintain our corporate identity in consultation with the volunteers.

Skills and qualities

You are the right person to give De Oude Bieb's visibility on social media and in other communication channels a colorful face.

You know what's going on and you know what you share.

• You are social and have strong communication skills.
• You have a good command of the language and can work independently.
• You are able to write for our target audiences or willing to learn.
• You have experience working with Facebook and Instagram and are familiar with the functionalities of those social media platforms.
• You endorse the objectives of De Oude Bieb.

The vacancy can be filled as a volunteer position or in the form of a participation job (if you receive social assistance benefits under the Participation Act and meet the other conditions).
