Love Groningen? Social? Then this job is for you. During the Groningen Four Days Marches, we ensure that every participant feels welcome. Whether you are standing on the Grote Markt, offering participants a warm welcome along the route, or proudly telling our story – you make the difference.
The Groningen Four Days Marches is the new walking event of the Netherlands, where sportsmanship, culture, and conviviality come together. From Tuesday, August 4 to Friday, August 7, 2026, you will walk in four stages through the best Groningen has to offer – from the bustling city center to the tranquility of the vast Ommeland. With daily start and finish at the atmospheric Grote Markt, up to 3,000 participants can choose from distances of 20 or 40 kilometers.
Tasks and duties
- Serve as a point of contact for participants and visitors.
- Guiding groups (such as schools or the Defence Force).
- Promotion and creating atmosphere during the event.
- Promoting sustainable behavior among participants.
- Offering hospitality to sponsors or VIPs.
Skills and qualities
- Social, open, and positive.
- You enjoy being among people.
- You love getting things done and having a good time.
Additional information
- We are looking for people with a love for Groningen.
- You will receive food and drinks during your shift.
- You choose when you work (you can always work more!).
- Friday evening is an extra closing moment.
