Interesting or nice about this vacancy

As a foundation, our driving force is to be a cozy and accessible meeting place where everyone is welcome for a cup of coffee or tea, with some treats, ice cream, etc. At the kiosk, an opportunity is offered for a chat, support, and warmth in a friendly atmosphere. You can talk and also gather information about all the social opportunities the neighborhood has to offer.

We are a team of enthusiastic local residents who are there for each other and for our customers. In consultation, we can look together at the wishes of our visitors and respond accordingly. The customer is always king!

Tasks and duties

In the heart of Vinkhuizen, in the middle of the green Diamantpark, stands the coffee bar Kiosk Diamantpark. A green shipping container that has been converted into a cozy coffee and tea house with a terrace. The kiosk is an idea from residents of Vinkhuizen and is run entirely by volunteers.

This involves a volunteer position of at least half a day, 3 hours on weekdays or 4 hours on weekends. You will always work with a colleague.

In this role, you will primarily focus on selling products such as coffee, tea, soft drinks, ice cream, candy, chips, and snacks. You are one of the faces of the kiosk in Diamantpark. You are determined to make the kiosk a success. Only debit card/contactless payments are accepted at the kiosk.

  • You pay attention to your guests.
  • You take orders and process payments.
  • You ensure that the kiosk remains tidy and clean.
  • You actively contribute ideas to make the kiosk the vibrant heart of the Vinkhuizen neighborhood.

Skills and qualities

You will learn skills in hospitality and service (being ready to assist visitors to the kiosk).

  • Customer-friendly.
  • Representative.
  • Communicative.
  • Service-oriented.
  • Work well together.
  • To be open-minded.
  • Empathy.

Saturday and Sunday: 13:00 - 17:00

The kiosk will be open for a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 days per week in the summer. This is also the goal in the spring, autumn, and winter, but it depends more on the weather. We do want to offer as much continuity as possible.

Send a message to info@vinkhuizen.nl for the attention of the board (Nathalie Hielkema, Emma Bel, Leendert Tholen). Indicate on which days per week/month you are available and for how many hours (half day or full day). We will contact you as soon as possible. Would you like to call first? Then call Emma.
