About Stichting Spaarkracht
Stichting Spaarkracht promotes savings circles for people on a tight budget so that they become more socially and financially resilient.
Spaarkracht trains and coaches savings circle facilitators and develops training materials for various target groups; these are volunteers and professionals from (welfare) organizations, or private individuals who wish to set up a savings circle within their own network.
In savings circles, members motivate and inspire each other to manage money, themselves, and one another well. Group members save an amount that can vary per member and per meeting. If the group wishes, loans can also be provided to the members. After a period of approximately 9 months, the members receive their own savings back. After that, the group can start a new savings period, which usually happens.
The facilitators receive 4 half-day training sessions and attend at least 3 inspirational meetings. The coaching consists of attending an average of 6 savings circle meetings, and interim (telephone) contact. At the end of the program, the facilitators are certified and we enter into a license agreement.
