Vier het Leven connects volunteers and the elderly so that they can attend a performance at Oosterpoort, Schouwburg, or MartiniPlaza worry-free.

Stichting Vier het Leven organizes guided theater, concert, film, and museum visits for seniors who are no longer able, willing, or daring to undertake these activities independently. Culture inspires and connects. Under the motto 'Out Together, Enjoy Together,' our team contributes to the fight against loneliness among the elderly. Does this appeal to you? Then I would be happy to talk to you and we can explore together what you can do with us.
Every year, we take approximately 800 seniors in the Groningen region to 120 performances!
ABOUT YOU
One team, two goals: happy volunteers and satisfied participants; ingredients for a fun cultural outing! To successfully fulfill your role, you have an affinity for the elderly, culture, and collaborating with others. You can plan and organize, and you possess strong social skills. Together with your fellow planner, you are the connecting factor within the team. Naturally, you are computer savvy and have your own computer or laptop. You live in Groningen or the surrounding area.
Since we are looking for 2-3 planners, this is also great fun to do together with a friend or partner.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Together with your fellow location planning coordinators, you are the focal point of the volunteer team. You divide tasks among yourselves according to your own judgment and talents. You regularly coordinate with each other regarding what is going on.
- In our reservation system 'James', you match guests with hosts or hostesses. You finalize the schedules and itineraries for the hosts and hostesses, so that they can head out to a wonderful performance with our guests without a worry. Really fun for someone who enjoys organizing things.
- As the point of contact, you maintain contact with the volunteers regarding the schedule. If you are a people person, this is a fun task for you.
- You discuss everything that is going on with your fellow coordinators. You divide the mentioned tasks among yourselves at your own discretion. Working together with your colleagues to form a super team!
- You contact the guests regarding booked outings if necessary. In doing so, you notice how important going out with Vier het Leven is to these elderly people.

WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?
Lots of fun, variety, challenge, and satisfaction! An enthusiastic team with a passion for this wonderful work. Regular consultations with your coordinating colleagues. Room for your own initiative and input. Full flexibility, because you work from home at your own time. Naturally, you will receive basic “James” training and be guided by the regional coordinator. Do you enjoy going to the theater yourself? Then come along!
