About Textielhub
The Textielhub was developed to establish a fair and local textile chain in Groningen. At this hub at Energieweg 17 in Groningen, work is being done on circular textile innovations, educational programs are offered for residents and students, and it is a place where social employment and participation opportunities exist for people who cannot work in the regular labor market. For a circular textile project at Groningen Werkt Circulair, we are looking for volunteers who want to work at a small-scale production site where we sort textiles for recycling. The project is carried out at the Textielhub in Groningen. We are looking for hands-on individuals who enjoy physical work. You will work standing a lot and help with sorting and processing textiles. Volunteers receive guidance and learn step-by-step how to recognize and assess textiles. In this way, you are trained to become a true textile expert and receive a certificate upon completion of the training.
