Tasks and duties
Have you worked for the police or ambulance service? Dierenambulance Groningen is looking for decisive people who can switch gears quickly and act in challenging situations. You maintain an overview, are self-directed, and know how to get things done. Would you like to dedicate at least 2 days a week to the Dierenambulance? Then please contact us.
- Picking up sick and injured animals with the animal ambulance.
- Taking sick and injured animals to the veterinarian or specialized shelter.
- The collection, identification, and disposal of dead animals.
- Duties at the control room.
- Various organizational tasks.
- Household chores that keep the Groningen Animal Ambulance running.
Skills and qualities
- Reliable and flexible.
- Self-directed and decisive.
- You maintain an overview in special situations.
- You love teamwork.
- You have a driver's license. It is not required, but we do find it convenient.
Additional information
- As a volunteer, you will receive internal training. You are also required to complete a shortened First Aid course, which is reimbursed.
- You will remain a volunteer with Dierenambulance Groningen for at least one year.
- Because this is specialized work, you will receive a one-time intensive onboarding period of 4 shifts per week for 6 weeks. After the onboarding period, you can choose the number of days per week in consultation.
