Tasks and duties
The volunteer:
- Supports the department with welcoming and showing around new patients and parents.
- Supports the department with group and individual activities (such as arts and crafts, reading, cooking, baking, etc.) and helps 'dress up' the department for seasonal themes.
- Can contribute to accompanying the patient and parents to examinations and surgeries.
- Provides support with activities outside the department, such as events at the children's theater, the BKZ cinema, and the Beatrix Kindertuin.
Skills and qualities
You:
- You are at least 21 years old and not studying.
- Has a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
- You are available for at least 1 year.
- You have experience with or an affinity for working with (sick) children and can handle children with rapidly changing health conditions and/or a short life expectancy.
- You are available for at least one half-day per week.

This concerns the Pediatrics Department L1VA and L1SC of the Beatrix Children's Hospital.
