As a bowling volunteer, you supervise the activity, provide personal attention, and ensure a pleasant afternoon full of fun and socializing.
Do you provide movement, fun, and a smile?
For the De Dilgt location, we are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help with the weekly bowling for residents with dementia (PG). Do you enjoy guiding and encouraging the elderly and spending a pleasant afternoon together? Then we are looking for you!
What are you going to do?
Bowling is more than just a game. It provides exercise, fun, familiarity, and beautiful moments of connection. As a volunteer, you help residents participate in the activity and contribute to a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Because it involves residents with dementia, the activity is not solely about bowling. Your role also consists of encouraging participation, offering personal attention, and creating a cozy and safe atmosphere where residents feel seen.
Your duties include, among other things:
- preparing and setting up the activity;
- receiving residents and guiding them to the activity;
- supporting residents during bowling;
- stimulate and involve participants in the game;
- ensure a pleasant and safe atmosphere;
- have a chat and give personal attention;
- Help clean up and wrap up the activity afterwards.
Bowling takes place every Wednesday afternoon from 15:00 to 16:15 at the De Dilgt location. As a volunteer, you will be present from approximately 14:45 to 16:30 for the preparation, supervision, and conclusion of the activity.
And you?
- You are people-oriented and social, with an eye for the needs of the elderly.
- You have an affinity with the target group (elderly people with, for example, dementia or somatic conditions).
- Experience is not necessary; enthusiasm and commitment are more important.
What do we offer you?
At ZINN, we value the dedication of our volunteers! That is why we invest in a warm welcome, good guidance, and plenty of opportunities for personal development. You will be part of a committed organization where your contribution truly makes a difference for residents and clients. In addition, we offer free training, inspiring gatherings, an end-of-year gift, appropriate expense reimbursements, and ensure you are well insured. This way, we ensure that you can do volunteer work with pleasure, confidence, and appreciation.
Interested? Great! Then sign up without obligation.
