As a volunteer in the residents' living room, you make a difference in their day.
Tasks and duties
As a volunteer in the living room of a small-scale nursing ward, you will be present for a few hours or a half-day. Your duties include assisting with meals, having coffee with residents, playing games, creative activities, etc. In consultation with your colleagues, you will have plenty of freedom to structure the day according to the residents' wishes.
As a volunteer in the living room, you work both with the group from the living room and with individual residents. This depends on the wishes of the residents. "Attention is the most beautiful gift you can give."
Skills and qualities
- You have an affinity with the elderly target group.
- You place the needs of the resident(s) first.
- You can work well independently.
