Meeting place for average and gifted adults with autism.
Who are we?
ASS Drop-in is a meeting place for people with autism. Here, people with autism of average to high intelligence can meet and talk about various topics.
This meeting place is an initiative of GON Zuid Vooruit.
What do we have to offer?
We offer a warm and accessible place where people come together around a specific theme. Our meeting places are run by dedicated volunteers, with a professional always available for support and coordination.
In a pleasant collaborative atmosphere, you get the chance to truly make a difference for someone else.
What can you do with us?
As a volunteer, you work together with a supervisor or another volunteer at a meeting place for people with autism. During the meetings:
- Welcome your guests and offer them a cup of coffee or tea
- Help get conversations going in an accessible way, for example with a question from the question pot.
- Do you ensure a pleasant, safe atmosphere?
- Do you offer a listening ear and are you attentive to the needs of the participants?
What do we ask?
- Someone with autism or an affinity for people with autism
- Patience, calmness, and an open attitude
- Strikes up a conversation easily
- Reliability and commitment

About Zuid Vooruit
We werken als GON (Gebied Ondersteunend Netwerk) in opdracht van de Gemeente Groningen en zijn verantwoordelijk voor uitvoering van de WMO dagbesteding en begeleiding in Groningen-Zuid en Haren.
We faciliteren ondersteuning die goed-toegankelijk, vraaggericht én betaalbaar is. Daarnaast hebben we een transformatieopdracht waarin we duurzame relaties bouwen met het sociaal domein om zorg en ondersteuning (nog) efficiënter te kunnen organiseren (zie voorzieningen).
Dignis en Philadelphia vormen samen als hoofdaanbieders GON Zuid Vooruit, met een netwerk van 50 onderaannemers. We bieden ondersteuning aan ongeveer 700 inwoners in Groningen-Zuid en Haren.
