At our residential center near the Paddepoel shopping center, we care for deaf people with complex issues. Every day, we strive to provide these people with a beautiful life in addition to the best care, and we could certainly use some help with that. And now I hear you thinking: 'I would love to help, but I don't know sign language.' But this is not a problem! There are plenty of ways to communicate with each other. Our staff are happy to help you with this.
Tasks and duties
For Monday evenings and Friday afternoons, we are looking for someone willing to accompany 1 or 2 clients to the gym. Additionally, we are looking for someone to help with Friday afternoon activities, such as grocery shopping at the Paddepoel shopping center, accompanying a client to the hairdresser, going for walks, etc.
Skills and qualities
For all activities, a care worker will always accompany you when you start, for as long as it takes to send you out on your own with confidence.
