Tasks and duties
Would you like to give caregivers renewed energy? With us, you can get involved with caregivers in various ways. For example, by staffing a walk-in consultation hour in a neighborhood, or by offering a listening ear over the phone. Even with just a few hours a week, you can make a difference for a caregiver.
Specifically for the districts of Lewenborg, Beijum, and the village of Ten Boer, we are looking for people willing to help staff a walk-in consultation hour for informal caregivers. You will do this in close collaboration with the staff member from the Informal Care Support Centre in the district. Additionally, you will maintain telephone contact with informal caregivers.
The nice, heartwarming conversations gave me a different perspective on informal caregiving.
Skills and qualities
You are someone who;
- Is a good listener and has a genuine interest in the world of a caregiver.
- Happy to provide information and support.
- Has an open attitude.
- Doesn't mind doing a bit of administrative work on the computer.
Additional information
Caring for someone else can be very rewarding, but it can also be difficult.
The Caregiver Support Centre offers caregivers information, practical help, and emotional support to enable them to sustain this care and avoid becoming overburdened. Volunteers from the support centre maintain regular contact with caregivers known to us. Via telephone, email, or in person, the situation is listened to, and information and support are provided where possible.
