As a facilitator of the Friendship Circle, you contribute to the existence of a place where people with autism can meet and do things together, but above all, can simply be themselves.
As a supervisor, you are supported by a volunteer coordinator who is responsible for practical and logistical matters, such as the budget and contact with Humanitas regarding room reservations.
Tasks and duties
The Autism Friendship Circle is a place where adults with autism can meet each other in a familiar environment. Under the guidance of two to three supervisors—including the volunteer coordinator—they have a fun Friday evening every other week (in the odd-numbered weeks). For example, the supervisors recently devised an escape room, there was a guided tour of the Forum, a Crazy 88 is being organized soon, and recently two participants also organized a city walk together.
Skills and qualities
What we value most is that you enjoy coming up with new activities and are capable of organizing and carrying them out together with the other supervisors. Additionally, it is of course a plus if you have an affinity with our target group: adults with autism.
