About Kringloop Red een Kind
We are a thrift store where, together with other Red een Kind thrift stores, the net proceeds go to a charitable cause. The objective is to help children grow out of poverty. We do this in developing countries such as Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, among others. Sustainable emergency aid is provided in the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, and Somalia. A combination of both is provided in Malawi and Burundi.
Additionally, we aim to contribute to a circular economy through the reuse of donated items.
We have various (sales) groups in which activities take place, such as:
- accepting and assessing donated items
- cashier duties
- various store duties, such as
- household goods/decoration/textiles
- clothing/shoes/fashion accessories
- hobbies/crafts/jewelry
- CD/DVD/computer games
- books/office supplies
- furniture
- toys
- styling/seasonal and party supplies
- electrical and DIY work
- plants and cuttings
- personal care
