Interesting or nice about this vacancy
- You will be working in a friendly team of 50 to 60 volunteers.
- You meet and speak to people who are surprised in this Museum.
- The opportunity for all volunteers to meet each other 5 times a year during:
- New Year's drinks.
- Meeting in the second half of March before the Clog Museum reopens with a new exhibition.
- An interim evaluation at the end of June.
- A final evaluation in November.
- Second half of November: an afternoon out together followed by dinner.
Tasks and duties
As a hostess/host, you will welcome visitors and collect admission.
You take care of the coffee and tea.
Furthermore, you handle retail sales and checkout.
You may potentially expand your duties to giving tours after consultation.
Skills and qualities
- Customer-friendly.
- Communicative and presentable.
- You can use or want to learn how to use a digital cash register.
- Communicative and presentable.
- You can work in a team.
Additional information
All staff at this unique International Clog Museum are volunteers. The board members are also volunteers.

Mission of the Clog Museum
The Clog Museum preserves a large collection of clogs, wooden soles, tools, machines, and documents from both the Netherlands and abroad. The museum introduces visitors to this unique history through exhibitions and educational activities. Additionally, it encourages research into clogs and shares the collection with other museums. The museum collaborates with clog makers and museums at home and abroad and aims to be and remain the world's leading knowledge center and museum for clogs and wooden footwear.
