Interesting or nice about this vacancy

As a volunteer, you are part of a close-knit group of (highly educated) people who provide services together to people with mental health vulnerabilities. The mix of professionals, volunteers, and our employees creates a pleasant working atmosphere in a professional office environment.

Tasks and duties

The foundation is a socially engaged (care) enterprise that advocates for the participation of people with a susceptibility to developing psychosis. Together with professional staff, a group of volunteers, and our employees from the aforementioned population, we handle tax returns, apply for benefits, and manage budgets for people with mental vulnerabilities.

We offer professional services (mostly free) based on the principle "for and by" people with vulnerabilities.

We ask that a volunteer have an affinity with our people and their qualities and limitations. Additionally, experience with administrative processes and/or experience in the field of finance is a plus.

The volunteer at Stichting Nieuw Nabuurschap monitors and supports the staff in carrying out their tasks.

Skills and qualities

  • Affinity with people with mental vulnerability.
  • Didactic skills.
  • Patient.
  • Knowledge of administrative and financial processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work with highly educated employees.

Additional information

By offering meaningful work-related daytime activities and services to people with mental vulnerabilities, social participation is promoted. The people who use the services are relieved of burdens, leaving them with more energy and space to focus on other areas of life such as housing, relationships, family, work, etc.

In this way, we contribute to the conditions for a better quality of life.
