Supporting the well-being of residents brings much gratitude, companionship, and social contact.

It is a nice feeling to show and share your talents with others.

You are invited to social activities for staff and volunteers, are occasionally appreciated with a small token of appreciation, and you belong to a friendly group of volunteers.

Tasks and duties

In Westerholm, we have a shake-up evening on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This evening is facilitated by a group of volunteers who call themselves "the shakers".

Together, you come up with a fun activity, e.g., a lecture, something about culture, or a quiz, which you then develop together and carry out on a Tuesday evening.

The shake-up group now consists of 6 volunteers. This means that you could do an activity with someone else once every 6 weeks.

Skills and qualities

• Affinity with the elderly.
• Patience.
• Creative and helpful.

Additional information

The turnout at a meeting is approximately between 15 and 25 residents.

Neighborhood residents can also participate in this.
