Van Houten is the community center in the Oosterparkwijk. As an administrative volunteer, you will become part of the team at Van Houten. In your role, you will have frequent contact with your colleagues. You are familiar with the schedule and know what space is still available for an activity and/or rental to third parties.
We believe working in a team is important and we help each other when needed. So you are never alone! Additionally, there is another fellow volunteer who does the same work (currently 2, but 1 volunteer is leaving).
In addition to becoming part of Van Houten, you also become part of the Oosterparkwijk. Every year, there is a large volunteer party organized by the staff.
Tasks and duties
Van Houten has many rooms available for rent. Rental requests come in via email and telephone. It is also possible that someone might drop by to inquire and/or view the room. You speak to these people and inform them of the available options!
Your tasks:
- answering emails and phone calls.
- keep a schedule.
- Contact with colleagues (e.g., discussing whether lunch/dinner is possible for the request).
- prepare quotations.
- a small piece of financial administration.
Skills and qualities
Are you a skilled communicator? Do you enjoy working at a computer? Do you want to ensure that the Van Houten schedule is well-organized? Can you answer yes to these questions? Then apply!
Additional information
We are looking for someone immediately. One of our volunteers is leaving. The overlap period can be used as an induction period.
