De Dilgt is a residential care facility in Haren for the elderly, people with dementia, and rehabilitation patients. Residents experience De Dilgt as a modern and welcoming location with a comprehensive range of services. These include amenities such as a small shop, a weekly market, a hairdresser, an Alzheimer's garden, and a physiotherapy room for treatment. Tasks and duties
WelZINN offers an extensive program focused on the well-being of the elderly. There is a focus on art, music, and culture. We organize recurring activities, theme weeks, and participate in various projects. Volunteering in elderly care is incredibly diverse!
As an attendant for musical performances at residential care facility De Dilgt in Haren, you ensure a warm welcome and a pleasant atmosphere. Your tasks consist of:
- Welcoming residents and offering coffee/tea with a treat
- Be present during the performance and enjoy the music together with residents
- Help with cleaning up and concluding the activity together
When?
- Wednesday evening (once a month) – performance from 19:30 to 21:00, arrive from 18:30
- Sunday afternoon (once a month) – times by arrangement
Skills and qualities
What do we ask?
- People-oriented and social: You have an eye for the needs of the older target group and are able to connect.
- Knowledge of the target group: preferably, you have experience with or knowledge of the elderly, for example people with dementia or somatic conditions.
- Commitment: you are willing to dedicate yourself to others and enjoy working together in a team of volunteers and professionals.
- Patience and respect: you respect the wishes and boundaries of the residents and offer them the care and attention they deserve.
