The Alzheimer Café in Haren is a monthly gathering for people with dementia, their loved ones, and other interested parties. In a warm and open atmosphere, visitors share experiences, receive information, and meet each other. The evenings take place at ZINN residential care facility De Dilgt.
Tasks and duties
As a hostess/host, you are the friendly face upon arrival. You:
- Welcomes visitors with coffee/tea.
- Contributes to a calm and pleasant atmosphere.
- Helps during breaks and provides support where needed.
- Cleans up together with others afterwards.
- You work together with the coordinator of the Alzheimer Café and other volunteers.
Skills and qualities
We are looking for someone who:
- Is social, warm, and approachable.
- Enjoys being in contact with different people.
- Is available one Wednesday evening per month.
- Exudes calm and is a good listener.
