ZINN is the leading organization for high-quality, personal (home) care, housing, and well-being for the elderly in Groningen, Haren, and Hoogezand. Tasks and duties
As a volunteer, you assist with daily activities in the courtyard of a care unit. You help with, among other things:
- Setting up materials and the room.
- Co-carrying out the activity (think of participating, guiding, encouraging).
- Serving coffee and tea.
- Cleaning up afterwards.
The activities take place from Monday to Saturday, between 15:15 and 16:15. Your participation is required from 15:00 to 16:30.
Every day is different: from creative afternoons to exercise activities and walks. It would be great if you were available for several afternoons. Even if you can help just one afternoon a week, you are very welcome!
Skills and qualities
And you?
- Affinity with the target group: preferably, you have knowledge of the elderly, for example people with dementia or somatic conditions.
- Commitment: you are willing to dedicate yourself to others and enjoy working together in a team of volunteers and professionals.
- Patience and respect: you respect the wishes and boundaries of the residents and offer them the care and attention they deserve.
- Availability: you are available for at least one afternoon per week from 15:00 to 16:30.
