A bullseye - recruiting volunteers

Finding volunteers is and remains an important issue if you, as an organization, association, or club, depend on volunteer effort. It is often a challenge to get the pool well-stocked.

It seems as though fewer and fewer people are willing to volunteer. Yet, 42% of the residents of the Municipality of Groningen do volunteer work. Approximately 30% of the residents are considering volunteering in the future. So there is potential!

How do you find people? How do you get noticed by the people you want to reach? If someone wants to make a difference, how do you offer them a suitable place?

In the workshop 'Bullseye', attention will be paid to recruiting people. On the one hand, we look at the question of where to find people, and on the other, we focus on how to accommodate people who want to commit to your organization.

In the workshop, you will work on the questions and challenges of your own organization regarding recruitment and onboarding.

We start at 5:30 PM with soup and sandwiches (vegetarian options available), the program starts at 6:00 PM.

Through link050, we will be offering this workshop multiple times in 2026 at various locations within the municipality of Groningen. Dates will be posted on the website in due course.

This workshop is the first of a two-part series. The second workshop, "Don't Forget Me," covers binding, engaging, rewarding, and saying goodbye to volunteers. Both workshops can also be taken independently.
