This volunteer work is fun and interesting due to the personal contact and the bond you build. You really make a difference with small things like walking and chatting together. Additionally, it is varied and educational, as you learn to attune well to what someone needs. It provides a great deal of satisfaction and appreciation.
Tasks and duties
For a friendly woman (62 years old) in the Beijum neighborhood, we are looking for a female companion who enjoys walking, grocery shopping, and, above all, having a pleasant chat. A sense of humor is highly appreciated. The lady has a mild intellectual disability. Therefore, it is important that you are able to sense what she needs, remain calm, and communicate clearly and patiently. You know how to strike a nice balance between sociability and structure.
