We offer a great workplace where you can further develop yourself in various areas. As a garden volunteer, you are an important link in maintaining our garden and creating a peaceful and pleasant outdoor space for our children. The work itself is varied. You work outdoors a lot and also with the animals. Giving a goat attention every now and then is also part of the duties.
We have, among other things, a vegetable garden, a number of animals (goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs), and a hobby shed. The chores you do are varied and depend on the season. It is also possible to take on projects based on your own interests.
We are looking for a volunteer to strengthen our team with outdoor work!
Tasks and duties
The range of tasks we are looking for you to perform is varied and depends on the season.
Gardening activities:
- Maintaining the vegetable garden
- Mowing the lawn, pruning, weeding
- Also other passing work
Caring for animals:
- Feed
- Keep pens clean
Barn:
- perform minor maintenance
If necessary, keep everything in order in the hobby room.
Skills and qualities
- A love for gardening, nature, and animals.
- Knowledge and skills for gardening and growing vegetables.
- Knowledge of animal care, or willingness to learn.
- Willingness to help on a regular basis (the frequency can be discussed). Preferably in the morning, as that is when most of the work takes place.
- We require patience and good, clear communication skills in relation to our target group*, with whom you will have indirect contact.
- A positive mindset: looking at possibilities and the ability to seek solutions.
- Good command of the Dutch or English language.
- Minimum education level lbo/mavo/vmbo.

This vacancy can be filled as either a participation job or a volunteer position.
De Buffelaar provides care and support to children. De Buffelaar offers guidance, 24-hour care, and temporary housing to children with behavioral problems. This guidance and care takes place on weekends and during the week.
