We are looking for an autistic volunteer who wants to lead our ICT team.
Autisme Digitaal is organized entirely digitally and has 50 volunteers who work together to provide better information about autism in adults. To do so, we use various online systems: we have an extensive WordPress website and email addresses for all volunteers. Furthermore, we have Teams accounts for all our volunteers.
In this role, you coordinate the team that manages these systems. If volunteers have questions, you provide technical support.
You do not have to perform most tasks yourself, but delegate them to volunteers in your working group.
What are the tasks?
- You lead a team of 2-4 volunteers.
- You ensure that there are up-to-date manuals for the use of our ICT systems.
- You support volunteers who get stuck using a system, particularly with the WordPress website.
- You conduct intake interviews with new working group members and train them.
- You participate in the monthly coordinators' meeting via Teams (1 hour).
- Technical adjustments to the website or other systems are carried out by companies; your working group is not responsible for this.
Who are we looking for?
- You have autism and enjoy working with other people with autism.
- You have experience with various online systems and are proficient with them. You have experience with at least WordPress or a similar CMS.
- You can work independently, without anyone reminding you what to do.
- You can communicate well verbally and in writing about the work.
- You want to learn leadership in a volunteer context or already have experience with this.
What is interesting about this volunteer work?
- You make a technical contribution to a community of now 50 people with autism.
- You will be clearly told what is expected of you. We work with written job descriptions and guidelines.
- You can do this volunteer work from home, from anywhere in the Netherlands or Belgium. All contact takes place via email, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Teams.
