You come into contact with people who have come to the Netherlands from various parts of the world to seek protection/safety from our government. This concerns people awaiting a decision from the IND and permit holders, people who have been granted a residence permit for 5 years. There are also 40 boys staying at this location who need a bicycle to go to school.
Tasks and duties
Supporting residents of an asylum seekers' center with the repair of their bicycles: patching tires, lubricating chains, advising them on which parts to buy, etc.
Skills and qualities
- The ability to repair minor parts of a bicycle.
- Enjoying interacting with people from other cultures.
- Ability to work independently.
