Tasks and duties

The Client Council of Coöperatie Dichtbij represents the interests of clients and their loved ones. It does this by participating in discussions on policy and organization, critically monitoring the cooperative, and being actively involved in all matters concerning quality of care. After all, who knows better what quality of care truly is than someone with experience?

As a member of the Client Council of Coöperatie Dichtbij, you actively participate in discussions, thinking, and decision-making. The Client Council meets twice every six weeks, including one meeting with the director and/or domain manager(s) of Dichtbij. You prepare for the meetings by, among other things, reviewing documents. The chairperson or secretary of the Client Council prepares the agenda for the meeting in consultation with the director and/or domain manager(s).

You also attend gatherings and other meetings of the cooperative, such as the General Meeting of Members.

Skills and qualities

What Coöperatie Dichtbij expects:

  • Based on your experience in healthcare, you can easily empathize with the perspective and interests of clients.
  • You are interested in client participation in healthcare.
  • You are willing to attend training sessions/courses related to tasks for the Client Council.
  • You are motivated to advise Coöperatie Dichtbij and dare to be critical.
  • You possess good communication and social skills.
  • You reside in the service area of Coöperatie Dichtbij: Northern and Eastern Netherlands.
