Tasks and duties
Volunteers answer calls from children and young people (aged 8 to 18) via telephone and chat. They work 4-6 hours per week for a minimum of one year. De Kindertelefoon has its own selection procedure, as well as internal basic training and an induction period. We offer work experience placements for HBO and WO students.
Skills and qualities
We are looking for volunteers (18 years and older) who enjoy interacting with children and young people aged 8-18, who align with the principles of the Kindertelefoon (taking the target group seriously, wanting to promote children's self-reliance), and who are willing and able to work without judgment. Furthermore, it is important that you are willing to learn and enjoy critically evaluating your own work.
