Do you have a passion for second-hand clothing? Do you enjoy browsing thrift stores for hidden treasures? Do you have a good understanding of (vintage) clothing and do you know the value of clothing?
GoudGoed's thrift stores collect usable goods. Goods are delivered to drop-off points or picked up (free of charge). Everything that is still usable is sorted and repaired if necessary. The items are priced and sold in one of the GoudGoed thrift stores.
Do you want to commit to a circular fashion industry and contribute to reducing waste? Then we are looking for you! We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help us sort and price clothing.
Our textile project carefully sorts through rejected textiles based on retail quality. We supply several thrift stores within our organization. We could certainly use some help with this!
Tasks and duties
- Sorting clothes: you have an eye for good second-hand clothing and know what can be sold at a thrift store.
- Curating varied racks: you ensure that the racks going to our thrift stores are always varied and assess the value of the clothing.
- Determining the price: together with the team of work supervisors, you determine the fair price for the items, estimating their value while taking sustainability and circular principles into account.
Skills and qualities
- Passion for (vintage) clothing, sustainability, and the circular economy.
- Creative and an eye for detail.
- You have a passion for second-hand clothing and know what you're talking about.
- Able to confidently set prices and work with products that deserve a second life.
- Social and involved in the bigger picture of social entrepreneurship.
