Do you provide visitors with an unforgettable experience?
At the Hortus, we organize workshops, lectures, and events throughout the year. From inspiring nature activities to special gatherings in the garden. To ensure these activities run smoothly, we are looking for a volunteer activities assistant to help with the organization and execution.
Do you enjoy organizing things, keeping an overview, and making sure everything is in the right place? Then this might be something for you.
You are part of the events team and ensure that activities are well prepared and visitors have a pleasant experience.
Tasks and duties
- Creating activity schedules
- Maintain contact with participants via email
- Ensuring that materials and supplies are ready on time
- Inform the reception team about upcoming activities
- Pass on to the communications team what needs to be promoted and when
- Collaborate with the events team on an annual activity calendar
- During activities, you are the point of contact for visitors.
- Creating application forms and keeping track of registrations
- Supporting the team during large-scale events
Skills and qualities
What we are looking for:
- An organized and enthusiastic person/student/graduate (MBO/HBO/WO)
- You enjoy organizing and coordinating activities.
- You work in a structured manner and maintain an overview.
- You communicate clearly and enjoy interacting with people.
- You can work independently, but also coordinate well with the team.
- You enjoy brainstorming new ideas for activities.
- Experience organizing activities and events is a plus.
