The Hortus offers a special place for art and culture amidst greenery. Throughout the year, we organize various exhibitions, including the sculpture exhibition in collaboration with AKKA, but there is room for more.
For example, we have two pavilions in the Chinese Garden that are perfectly suited for changing exhibitions. Our goal is to surprise visitors throughout the year with inspiring exhibitions that match the atmosphere of the Hortus.
Do you get energy from organizing exhibitions and collaborating with artists and cultural partners? Then we are looking for you.
Tasks and duties
- Act as a contact person for artists and collaboration partners
- Contributing ideas to and compiling an annual program for exhibitions
- Coordinating exhibitions in the various spaces of the Hortus
- Planning and organizing rotating exhibitions
- Collaborate with the communication and events team
- Ensuring that exhibitions align well with the appearance of the Hortus
Skills and qualities
- We are looking for an enthusiastic person/student/graduate (MBO/HBO/WO) with an interest in art, culture, and nature.
- You enjoy maintaining contact with artists and organizations.
- You work in an organized manner and like to think ahead.
- You take initiative and see opportunities for new exhibitions.
- You work independently but also coordinate well with the team.
- PRE: affinity with art, culture, or exhibition organization / experience with organizing or coordinating exhibitions
