Tasks and duties
As a language coach, you act as a link for your participant in finding a study program or job. Through weekly conversations and practicing other skills, you offer a springboard for the future. Language coaching is tailored to the individual, as every participant is different and the learning needs can be diverse. Tailored support does not mean that you are on your own as a pair. There are group meetings where you can learn from others and exchange experiences. In addition, there are separate peer supervision meetings for the language coach. What are the benefits of Taal voor Opleiding & Werk? The participant becomes more self-reliant and self-confident, and you, as a volunteer, make a special connection. And, you both expand your network.
Skills and qualities
- Availability for a period of at least six months.
- Time commitment of at least 1.5 hours per week.
- A good command of the Dutch language.
- Affinity with the target group and interest in other cultures.
- A goal-oriented, stimulating, and practical attitude.
