Tasks and duties
Do you enjoy working with language and do you want to help newcomers with the language? Are you interested in people from other cultures? And are you willing to set aside 1 to 2 hours a week for this? Then become a language buddy. As a language buddy, you meet a non-native speaker who is taking Dutch lessons every week. Together, you practice the Dutch language in an informal way. You decide yourselves what you practice. This could be: speaking, listening, reading, writing, or practicing for the exam.
You help someone take a step forward and gain a valuable contact in the process.
Skills and qualities
- You are interested in other cultures.
- You have a good command of the Dutch language.
- You enjoy sharing knowledge and are good at explaining things.
- You are socially skilled.
- You can work independently.
