Do you enjoy working with social media and would you like to put that into practice as a volunteer*? Then Solidair is looking for you!

Solidair Groningen & Drenthe is looking for a volunteer to raise the profile of its projects and activities on social media. We want to use all social media channels more frequently and effectively, and we need someone to help us develop this. While text and words take center stage in our communication via email, newsletter, and website, our message needs to be 'visualized' more, so more photos and videos are required.

To date, Solidair has used social media on an ad-hoc basis, partly depending on employee interest. We aim to move towards structured and professional use, tailored to the characteristics and target groups of each channel.

We are looking for a 'social media volunteer*' who finds it a great challenge to showcase Solidair Groningen & Drenthe and all its projects everywhere. You will help us post messages and create visual material, in conjunction with existing communication.

You do not need to be a specialist (yet); creativity and committed enthusiasm are at least as important. We value a systematic and structured approach; our focus is on an appropriate promotional image targeted at the target groups. We expect you to be willing to actively work on this yourself, but also to involve your Solidair colleagues in this process. In addition to personal instruction, it is useful to create manuals and plans for further development. * It is possible to complete (part of) the aforementioned tasks as an internship or graduation project.

Your profile:

  • Wanting to be involved in the work of Solidair from a moved heart
  • Team player who enjoys working together
  • In addition to proficiency in working with various social media platforms, we also hope for input of professional knowledge regarding media developments.
  • Ideas about the use of photos and video come in handy.
  • A flair for communication, tailored to target audiences
  • Be able to take a punch and both give and receive feedback
  • Respect the Christian identity and values of Solidair

Our organization and the team

Solidair Groningen & Drenthe is a foundation dedicated to making society more social and just. We do this by developing and implementing projects and training programs aimed at raising awareness, activation, and providing perspective. The goal is for people to feel valued, to develop their potential, and to take responsibility.

Solidair is a good employer with a pleasant working atmosphere. What we convey in our vision and mission aligns with how things work and feel within our organization. We currently have a team of 11 colleagues with diverse backgrounds and expertise, who dedicate themselves to our various projects and training courses. We mostly work from our workspace in De Werkwereld in Assen, at project and training locations, or from home. We hold regular team meetings where we meet and inspire each other.

We offer an enjoyable and challenging position where creative idealism and professional knowledge combine to lead to projects that truly matter. We focus on personal development, guidance, and peer supervision; we provide opportunities to build a network and add a valuable addition to your CV. Within the Solidair organization, you can work both independently and collaboratively; a workspace is available in our Assen office space if desired.

After an introductory and orientation period, we would like to offer a volunteer agreement. This includes a modest volunteer allowance and the option to claim travel expenses and other costs. Even if you have limited time, we would still like to get in touch with you; together we can see what suits you best. *If the assignment is undertaken as an internship or graduation project, the agreement offered will be adjusted accordingly.
