Tasks and duties
WerkPro Stallingen organizes supervision and shelter for bicycles, the most used form of urban transport in the city of Groningen. We manage many different parking facilities and therefore have many different workplaces and types of work to offer. You work at a workstation alone, in pairs, or in a team. Working hours can be during the day, but also in the evening, at night, and on weekends. From very quiet to quite busy. From very light to moderately heavy. All situations are possible; indicate your preference and we will try to find a workplace that suits you best.
We also manage the staffing of the City Balcony; a large bicycle parking facility at the main station in Groningen where 4,500 bicycles are parked and where there is always something going on. People from Hoogezand and Zuidhorn can therefore easily travel by train to their workplace at the station; we pay the travel expenses.
Skills and qualities
- You need to be somewhat customer-friendly; we want satisfied customers.
- You wear work clothes and safety shoes (which we provide); customers want to be able to recognize you.
- You must be able to arrive on time; we would like to be able to rely on your presence.
- For a participation job, you are available for at least 16 hours per week.
Additional information
During an introductory meeting, we look at what you enjoy and where you want to grow; what your current situation is and what you need. In a volunteer or participation job holder, we are looking for someone who can quickly become independent after a short onboarding period and strengthen the team.
Many possibilities exist. It starts with you wanting to do something. If, during our conversations, it becomes apparent that a workplace at the depots is not suitable, we can also discuss a better place for you, either within or outside WerkPro.
