Do you want to contribute to the sense of community in the Oosterparkwijk in a creative way?
As a social media and content creator, you put the community center on the map! You come up with and create posts to show local residents everything that is happening at the nicest neighborhood center in Groningen.
You work in a relaxed atmosphere where colleagues support each other. What makes this place special? You meet people from the neighborhood, there is always time for a chat (and a bowl of soup), and you get plenty of opportunity to use and further develop your talents.
Tasks and duties
The Van Houten Community Center hasn't been open for very long. We are busy with the renovation and further development of the community center. Good communication is naturally important, and we need help with that. As a communication volunteer, your duties include the following:
- Creating signage.
- Designing posters.
- Keeping up with social media.
- Writing press releases.
Skills and qualities
- You can write Dutch well.
- You are good with computers.
- You can work with Canva (or you want to learn).
- You feel at home on Instagram and Facebook.

Van Houten is a Community Center in Oosterpark. We are here for all neighborhood residents who would like to do something in the neighborhood. Everyone is welcome to join in. As a result, we have a diverse team! This diversity ensures that everyone feels welcome!
