Interesting or nice about this vacancy

What makes Yatapita unique is that we work for people who want to travel consciously and, at the same time, make a social contribution in the area where they stay. This is not volunteer work in the Netherlands, but an opportunity for adventurous people looking for more meaning, purpose, and impact in their lives.

Tasks and duties

Where you work:

  • You work in Arusha, Tanzania, in the Daraja Mbili neighborhood (Unga Limited), within a local community.
  • You support a small nursery school with 1 classroom.
  • Approximately 33 students
  • 1 local teacher

What you do as a volunteer:

  • Do you support the teacher in teaching?
  • Organize your sports, games, and creative activities for children and young people
  • Do you contribute to the development of the school and the organization?
  • Do you work together with the local team on growth and improvement?

Skills and qualities

What Yatapita considers important is that as a volunteer you:

  • You care about people and children
  • are socially involved
  • You have a curious and adventurous nature
  • Open to new cultures

Tanzania is, after all, truly a different world from the Netherlands, and that requires an open attitude and adaptability.

About Yatapita Community Organization
