Tasks and duties
Are you looking for a meaningful way to spend your weekend? We could use some help!
And who knows, you might come across that beautiful thrift store treasure! On Saturdays, it is currently so busy with incoming goods that we cannot manage it internally from a logistical perspective.
Your task here is to place incoming goods by product group. It is important that you recognize which product group each item belongs to, as well as whether it is saleable. You will be working in a small team. To perform the work effectively, it is important that you are "normally" physically fit and able to lift goods. (We can also offer you hours during the week if you would like to turn this into a participation job.)
- Receiving goods.
- Place received goods in the store in reconciliation.
- If you like, you can also work with the cashier team to get even more variety on your meaningful Saturday!
Skills and qualities
- You must be physically capable of lifting goods up to 25 kg. You may not lift more than 25 kg.
- Lifting aids are available for washing machines, dryers, and refrigerators; we teach you how to use them.
- Customer-friendly behavior; you must be able to explain to customers that some items are not wanted because they are dirty, broken, or unsaleable.
- You will be working with our other volunteers and staff, so it is nice if you enjoy working together.
Additional information
- As a volunteer, you receive an hourly rate if you can work independently.
- As a participation job holder, you must meet the conditions set by the Municipality of Groningen.
