Work atmosphere:
With us, you work together with a colorful group of volunteers, each with their own background and talent. Always on the basis of equality.

Tasks and duties
Do you have a passion for the subject of accessibility? Then you are very welcome in our new Accessibility working group!
What will you be doing in the working group? We are building the database for our website together with Marketing Groningen. This means that information from entrepreneurs in the tourism sector will become available 'automatically'. Together, we are building a platform called ToegankelijkGroningen.nl, a website that will contain accessibility data for entrepreneurs, attractions, museums, and other locations in our province. This way, every resident – with or without a disability – can see in advance whether a place is accessible to them! For the platform, we are collaborating with Marketing Groningen and internet agency Insiders.
Background information on who you are doing it for: people with a chronic illness, physical, mental, or intellectual disability,
elderly people and their relatives/informal caregivers.
For other locations and buildings, you will do the following:
- Requesting and verifying the provided data: you contact entrepreneurs, owners, or managers of buildings/facilities and ask them to provide the accessibility data, which you subsequently verify.
- Site visit: you will head out to conduct random checks to verify whether the provided information is correct and to discuss accessibility with the involved entrepreneur, owner, or manager. Together, we put the theme of accessibility on the map and draw attention to it!
