Help a child in Group 8 with the transition to secondary school

Are you an enthusiastic student with a heart for children? Do you want to make a social impact, gain valuable experience, and work on your personal development during your studies? Then become a volunteer at Stichting Move and truly make a difference in a child's life!

Tasks and duties

What are you going to do?

In the Move Maatje project, as a volunteer, you guide a Group 8 student through the exciting transition to secondary school.

Together you will go on a journey of discovery:

  • What kinds of schools are there, actually?
  • Which one suits me best?
  • What are the differences between primary and secondary education?
  • And what do I bring on my first day of school?

In six fun and interactive lessons, you and your buddy get to know each other, complete assignments, and explore the world of secondary education together.

Skills and qualities

What are you bringing?

We are looking for students who:

  • Want to gain experience working with children
  • Be enthusiastic, independent, creative, and proactive
  • Responsibility for the project

Additional information

Practical

  • Period : October through December/January (start date by mutual agreement).
  • Guidance : you receive training beforehand and are guided by the project coordinator throughout the process.
  • Location : at the child's school, at home, or at the Move office in Groningen.
  • Flexible scheduling : student and pupil agree on lesson times together.
