Worrying, who doesn't know it? You can sometimes find yourself in a negative spiral of thoughts. As a result, you dread things or keep dwelling on an event that has already happened. In this workshop, you will learn to look at worrying from the perspective of the latest method in positive psychology: ACT, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. With this method, you develop psychological flexibility. You will receive tools to prevent yourself from being completely consumed by worrying thoughts. This gives you more mental space to focus on the things you do want in your life and your volunteer work.

Lian Groenveld is an independent trainer and coach. She provides training, coaching, and peer supervision to people who work with their hearts, such as professionals and volunteers in healthcare and education. Lian believes it is important to work appreciatively, to have an eye for everyone's qualities, and to get to work in a creative yet practical way. Lian advocates for lifelong learning, where personal and professional development go hand in hand.
