You will be working with a particularly fascinating target group in a fun team. Special encounters, captivating stories in a small-scale setting.
Do you think it is important to be socially involved? Are you sociable and do you get along well with people who don't always have it easy? Then cycling with the bread bike might be just the thing for you.
Tasks and duties
Every week, Straatpastoraat de Open Hof takes to the streets in the evening to distribute bread, coffee, and tea to people who have no home or permanent residence. You spread butter on sandwiches and make coffee and tea. And—preferably twice a month—you head out with another volunteer on the bread bike. Afterwards, you clean up together.
Skills and qualities
You do this work together. You help people on the street, and you are happy to be there for your fellow volunteers. And they for you too! You are self-assured and also know your limits well. You are socially minded and enjoy getting hands-on. You have an ear for a chat with people on the street.
