You make a concrete contribution to better policy in the social domain of the Municipality of Groningen. Together with involved residents, you have a direct influence on themes such as Youth, Health, the Social Support Act (WMO), and many others. The work is substantively relevant, socially valuable, and offers the opportunity to strengthen your network.
Tasks and duties
You establish contact with residents and professionals, identify bottlenecks within Youth & Health or WMO, and collaborate with other members on recommendations for the municipality. You participate in monthly cluster meetings (for WMO on the first Tuesday of the month and for Youth & Health on the second Monday of the month) and the General Members Meeting (on the last Monday of the month).
Skills and qualities
Affinity with the social domain, good communication skills, and the ability to translate signals into clear advice. You can listen, collaborate, and carefully weigh various interests.
Additional information
You will be supervised by an experienced member of the Groningen Social Domain Advisory Group. The time commitment averages 1–2 hours per week and can be scheduled flexibly. The position typically lasts 1–3 years and offers opportunities for training and relevant experience.
