In times of need, the Red Cross stands ready. All over the world, and therefore also in the Netherlands. For example, we provide food aid to people who have nowhere else to go and help with the reception of refugees. But also when people have to be evacuated due to, for example, a major fire, we are there for the victims.

Tasks and duties

As a member of the logistics team, you play an important role in our emergency response in the Northern Netherlands region. Together with colleagues, you ensure that all equipment is ready and arrives at the right location. Your duties are varied and include, among other things:

• Driving our logistics van or passenger van (PAM) with equipment.
• Issuance and collection of first aid supplies and Red Cross clothing.
• Inventory management in the warehouse.
• Plan and execute trips independently.
• Safely loading and unloading materials.
• Setting up and dismantling First Aid posts at events.

Skills and qualities

• You have a B driving license.
• You can be present for at least 2 hours on Tuesday evening.
• You are good with a PC and smartphone.
• You are physically fit (lifting and walking a lot is no problem for you).
• We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated volunteers and are not guided by cultural background, gender identity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or age.
